Fidelity to the weak.

GUILD is a consortium of design companies committed to changing the way we view our places. By accessing and implementing traditional knowledge, we intend to shift imagination and investment toward stewardship and fertility.

We partner with landholders throughout a process of restoration—beginning with names and narratives. We are interested in land that holds water, converts sunlight, and captures carbon. We envision buildings that contribute, habitats that provide, food systems that sustain, and cultures of distributed land care.

Research

First, we seek to understand previous and current uses of a place. This work is forensic, contextual, and journalistic.

Storytelling

Next, we share narratives that honor and encode the past—allowing us to attend to and be guided by what has come before.

Planning

We develop master plans for whole systems of energy, elements, water, and waste scaled to future generations.

Cultivation

Then, we tailor land use to support local economies, native habitat, and ecological priorities in a culture of abundance.

Community

Finally, we participate in generational guardianship—inviting caretakers to rediscover relationships and knowledge.
